First Steps & Acro
This class will be offered on Monday at 5:00pm.
Includes 4‑month session, Holiday Showcase (there will be no costume fees).
This class is a fun and engaging way for young children to explore their creativity through movement. We will use basic movement techniques as a foundation to learn about body awareness, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. We will also explore different types of movement, such as crawling, jumping, and balancing. Through games, stories, and improvisation, children will have the opportunity to express themselves freely and creatively and the importance of cooperation.
Acro Tumble class focuses on refining precision, control, and body awareness in both inversion work and tumbling skills. Students will work on isolating movements to build strength and accuracy, ensuring clean execution. Special attention will be given to the control and alignment required to safely and confidently navigate inverted positions.
In addition to tumbling techniques, the class will emphasize flexibility training. Through targeted stretching and strength-building exercises, students will learn how to extend their range of motion and shape their bodies into isolated acro stances. This well-rounded approach develops the foundation for expressive, controlled, and dynamic movement in acrobatic performance.
